Animal Control

Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)
CERT educates individuals about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area, and trains them in basic disaster response skills such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization and disaster medical operations.

The City of Easthampton employs crossing guards in various locations and school zones throughout the city.

Detective Unit
The Easthampton Police Department’s Detective Unit is responsible for the investigation of all felonies, thefts, frauds, burglaries, aggravated assaults, sexual abuses, narcotics violations and other such misdemeanors that may require extensive follow up.

Dispatch Center
The primary goal of Easthampton Public Safety Communications is to assist public service and public safety agencies in the protection of life, preservation of property and ensuring the safety of Easthampton’s first responders, citizens and visitors.

Drug Addition & Recovery Team (DART)
In collaboration with these partner agencies, the Easthampton Police Department launched a DART program (Drug Addiction and Recovery Team) to identify habitual or high-risk drug users and assist them with local treatment resources.

Drug Recognition Expert
The Drug Recognition Expert course is a series of three training phases that, collectively, prepare police officers to serve as Drug Recognition Experts (DREs).

Elder Affairs
The Elder Affairs Liaison regularly visits the Easthampton Senior Center on Union Street, and meets with elderly groups in the city. All seniors in the community are encouraged to reach out to him with any questions or concerns that they may have.

Evidence / Identification Officers
The Evidence and Identification officers perform departmental functions relating to the documentation, collection and processing and preservation of evidence.

K-9 Unit
Our K-9 team is certified in Patrol and Narcotics Detection through the North American Police Work Dog Association.

One Mind Campaign
The One Mind Campaign was formed to improve our response to those suffering from mental illness in our community.

Patrol
Patrol officers are responsible for the efficient performance of their required duties in conformance with the rules, regulations, procedures and policies of the Easthampton Police Department and the City of Easthampton.

Veterans Affairs
The Veterans Affairs Liaison works alongside our Veterans Council, the American Legion, the VFW and the Veteran's Administration to ensure that our veterans get all of the support and services they need.
