Veterans Affairs

Sergeant Nicol in Front of Korean MemorialOn Veterans Day 2017, Chief Robert Alberti proudly announced that Sergeant Bruce Nicol has been appointed as our department's Veterans Affairs Liaison Officer.

This is a new position within our organization, and as a long time champion of veterans, Sergeant Nicol will do an outstanding job for those that served this great nation.

Sergeant Nicol will be working alongside our Veterans Council, the American Legion, the VFW and the Veteran's Administration to ensure that our veterans get all of the support and services they need.

When a call for service involves a veteran, Sergeant Nicol will be the go-to officer, assigned to the case if available, and will conduct follow-ups.

He's done volunteer work for Homeward Vets, which provides home furnishings to veterans who are transitioning from homelessness to a home. Additionally, Sergeant Nicol's 23-year-old daughter recently joined the Army, so this new position is personal in more than one way.
