Community Development Block Grant Programs

The City of Easthampton, with assistance from the Pioneer Valley Planning Commission, has grant funding to assist income eligible residents with a variety of housing support and business support programs. For more information please follow the links in the below sections.

Housing Rehabilitation

The Housing Rehabilitation Program provides eligible low- and moderate-income homeowners with deferred payment loans up to $35,000 in order to address building code violations, improve unsafe or unhealthy conditions, improve weatherization, or make other necessary repairs to their homes.

Aging in Place

Low- and moderate-income senior homeowners (ages 65 and over) are eligible to receive a grant up to $5,000 and assistance to implement improvements which will allow occupants to remain safely in their homes as they age. Eligible improvements include, but are not limited to safety repairs, grab bars, handrails, non-slip stair treads, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, door and window locks, removal of code violations and other similar repairs which improve the safety and functionality of one’s home.

Microenterprise Business Assistance

The Microenterprise Business Assistance Grant Program is complete as of December 31, 2021. No further grant funding is available.
