June 19, 2022, marks the second annual observance of Juneteenth as a federal holiday. The City of Easthampton will fly the Pan-African Flag at City Hall from June 16th through June 20th commemorating the emancipation of the enslaved African Americans back in 1865.
During this time, the Pride Flag will come down to ensure the City stay in compliance with Chapter 5 of Title 4 of the United States Code (4 U.S.C. § 5 et seq). The Pride Flag will be put back up on Tuesday, June 21st - June 30th.
